Canesten Thrush Combi Pessary & External Cream
Canesten Thrush Combi Pessary & External Cream is a convenient two-part treatment for vaginal thrush. It combines a 500 mg clotrimazole pessary to treat the infection inside the vagina with an external cream to help relieve symptoms such as itching, soreness and irritation around the vaginal area.
The pessary is inserted into the vagina, usually at bedtime, while the cream can be applied externally to help soothe uncomfortable symptoms. Together, they provide treatment for both the internal infection and external symptoms of thrush.

How To Use
Pessary
Wash your hands before handling the applicator and pessary.
Remove the applicator from its packaging and pull out the plunger with the red lock attached.
Remove the pessary from the foil blister and place it into the open end of the applicator, with the curved edge facing down.
Push the plunger and lock into the applicator until you feel a click.
Remove the red lock from the plunger.
Carefully insert the applicator into the vagina as far as is comfortable. This may be easier while lying on your back with your knees bent.
Hold the applicator at the patterned grip and gently push the plunger all the way in to release the pessary.
Remove the applicator and dispose of it safely. Do not flush it down the toilet.
It is recommended to use the pessary before going to bed.
A panty liner may be useful as the pessary dissolves and may leave a white, chalky residue.
If you notice pieces of undissolved pessary, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
The External Cream
Before first use, pierce the tube seal by turning the cap upside down and pressing it onto the seal.
Apply a thin, even layer of cream to the area around the entrance of the vagina to relieve itching and soreness.
Gently smooth the cream into the affected area.
Apply the cream 2–3 times a day as needed.
Thrush symptoms should usually improve within 3 days of treatment.
If there is no improvement after 7 days, speak to your doctor.
If the infection returns after 7 days, you may use one further treatment.
If you have more than two episodes of thrush within 6 months, consult your doctor.
