Canesten Thrush Combi Internal & External Creams
Canesten Internal & External Cream is a convenient treatment for vaginal thrush, helping to treat the infection while relieving uncomfortable external symptoms such as itching, soreness and irritation.
The treatment contains clotrimazole, an antifungal medicine that works against the yeast responsible for thrush. The internal cream treats the infection inside the vagina, while the external cream can be applied to the vulval area to help soothe associated external symptoms.

How To Use
Using the internal cream
The internal cream should be inserted as far into the vagina as is comfortable, preferably at bedtime.
Wash your hands before removing the foil from the blister pack and again after using the applicator.
Remove the applicator from its packaging. With the cap still in place, insert the tip of plunger A approximately 1 cm into applicator B.
Twist and pull to remove cap C. Avoid pressing the plunger before inserting the applicator, as this could cause some of the cream to be wasted.
Carefully insert the applicator as deeply as is comfortable into the vagina. This is easiest when lying on your back with your knees bent.
Hold the applicator in position and slowly press the plunger until it stops. This releases the pre-measured dose of cream into the vagina.
Remove the applicator and dispose of it safely. Do not flush the applicator down the toilet. Keep it away from children.
You may notice a small amount of discharge after using the internal cream. This is normal and does not mean the treatment has not worked. You may wish to use a panty liner.
Using the external cream
The external cream helps relieve itching and soreness of the vulva associated with thrush.
Before using the cream, pierce the seal on the tube by turning the cap upside down and pressing it against the seal.
Apply a thin, even layer to the area around the entrance of the vagina.
Gently smooth the cream into the affected area.
Apply 2 or 3 times a day as directed.
Always read the package leaflet before use.
