Canesten Oral Capsule
Canesten Oral Capsule is an antifungal treatment used to treat vaginal thrush. It contains fluconazole, an antifungal medicine that works by stopping the growth of the yeast causing the infection.
Vaginal thrush can cause symptoms such as itching, irritation, soreness and unusual vaginal discharge. Canesten Oral Capsule provides a convenient oral treatment, with a single capsule commonly used to treat uncomplicated vaginal thrush.

Dosage
Adults aged 16–60: Take one 150 mg capsule as a single dose.
Swallow the capsule whole with water. It can be taken with or without food.
Do not take more than the recommended dose.
If symptoms do not improve within 7 days, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Fluconazole
Other Ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, maize starch and sodium lauryl sulphate. The capsule shell contains brilliant blue FCF (E133), titanium dioxide (E171) and gelatine.
Warnings
Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you have liver or kidney problems, heart problems, or an abnormal heart rhythm.
Speak to your doctor if you are under 16 or over 60.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are taking, as fluconazole can interact with some medicines.
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant unless specifically advised by a doctor.
Seek medical advice if this is your first episode of thrush, your symptoms are unusual, or treatment does not improve your symptoms.
Storage
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.
Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
