Nicotinell Patches
Nicotinell Patch is a nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) designed to help adults manage nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms when quitting smoking. The patch gradually releases nicotine through the skin, helping to provide consistent support throughout the day without the need to smoke.
It is easy to use and can be incorporated into your daily routine. Simply apply a new patch as directed and allow it to provide a steady supply of nicotine while you focus on reducing your dependence on cigarettes.

How To Use
The Nicotinell Patch programme has 3 steps, with patches releasing 7 mg, 14 mg or 21 mg of nicotine over 24 hours. The correct strength depends on how many cigarettes you smoke each day.
If you smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day:
Step 1: 21 mg/24 hours for 3–4 weeks
Step 2: 14 mg/24 hours for 3–4 weeks
Step 3: 7 mg/24 hours for 3–4 weeks
If you smoke fewer than 20 cigarettes a day:
Step 2: 14 mg/24 hours for 3–4 weeks
Step 3: 7 mg/24 hours for 3–4 weeks
Do not start at Step 3. Do not cut patches to reduce the dose.
Apply one patch each day. You should stop smoking completely while using Nicotinell Patches.
Before Applying the Patch
Choose a suitable area: Select clean, dry, hairless skin such as the upper arm, chest, back, hip or shoulder blade. Avoid red, damaged or irritated skin.
Clean and dry the skin: Make sure there is no oil, powder or moisture on the skin, as this can prevent the patch from sticking properly.
Change the application site: Use a different area each day and wait at least 7 days before using the same area again.
How to Apply the Patch
Apply a new patch at approximately the same time each day, preferably in the morning.
Carefully open the sachet without damaging the patch.
Remove the smaller section of the protective backing.
Remove the remaining backing, avoiding touching the sticky side as much as possible.
Place the sticky side firmly onto your chosen area of skin.
Press down firmly with the palm of your hand for at least 20 seconds.
Run your finger around the edges to ensure the patch is securely attached.
Wash your hands after applying the patch and avoid touching your eyes or nose.
Leave the patch on for 24 hours.
While Wearing the Patch
You can generally bathe, shower or swim while wearing the patch. If it falls off, dispose of it safely and apply a new patch to a different area of skin.
Removing the Patch
After 24 hours: Remove the old patch.
Fold it in half with the sticky sides together.
Apply the next patch to a different area of skin.
