How to use
Keep your fingernails short and smooth to prevent skin damage.
Wash your hands before applying.
Break the tamper evident seal on the pump.
Turn the pump in a clockwise direction and press the nozzle down several times to pump the cream on to your hand.
The first time that you use AproDerm Gel you may need to press the nozzle up to 10 times before the gel comes out – this is normal. Apply AproDerm Gel regularly, liberally and frequently to the affected area, smoothing onto the skin using gentle strokes and following the direction of hair growth.
Do not rub the gel in as this generates heat and can cause further irritation and itching. It can also block the hair follicles, which can cause folliculitis (inflammation of the hair follicles).
Leave a thin layer of gel on the skin and simply allow it to be absorbed by your skin – this can take about 10 minutes.
Frequency of application will depend on the severity of the skin condition. In general, it is recommended that AproDerm Gel should be applied liberally to the affected areas of the skin on a regular basis and as often as required or as directed by your doctor.
AproDerm Gel can be used before bathing to protect the skin from the drying effects of bathing, as well as after bathing to skin that is almost dry to trap in moisture.
