How to Take Priligy 30mg

Dose

The recommended starting dose is one 30mg tablet taken approximately 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity.

Directions for Use

  • Take one tablet 1-3 hours before sexual activity.

  • Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

  • Can be taken with or without food.

  • Do not chew, crush, or split the tablet.

  • Do not take more than one tablet within 24 hours.

  • Avoid alcohol while taking Priligy.

  • Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice for 24 hours before taking the medication.

Priligy is designed for use when required and should not be taken continuously on a daily basis. Priligy may not work the first time you use it and some men may need to use Priligy up to 4-6 times before determining how effective it is for them.

Safety Warnings

Do not take Priligy if you:

  • Are allergic to dapoxetine or any ingredient in the tablets

  • Have significant heart problems

  • Have a history of fainting

  • Have moderate or severe liver problems

  • Have ever had mania or severe depression

  • Are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)

  • Are taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications

  • Are under 18 years of age or over 64 years of age

Speak to your prescriber before taking Priligy if you:

Side Effects

The most common side effects include

What to do if you get Priligy side effects

Most mild side effects resolve on their own without treatment. If needed, they can be managed at home by taking over the counter painkillers for headaches.

As it may cause dizziness, low blood pressure when standing up, or fainting, dapoxetine must be taken with at least one full glass of water, and should not be taken if dehydrated.

If you feel dizzy, light-headed, faint, or unwell after taking Priligy:

  • Lie down with your head lower than the rest of your body or sit with your head between your knees until the symptoms pass.

  • Avoid standing up too quickly after sitting or lying down.

  • Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel faint.

If symptoms persist or you experience fainting, seek medical advice.

If you experience any serious side effects you should stop taking dapoxetine and seek immediate medical attention by calling 999 or going to the nearest A&E immediately.
