Dosage

This medicine is intended for short-term use only. Always use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed to relieve your symptoms.

Adults, elderly people, and children aged 12–18 years:

  • Take 1 caplet with water, up to three times a day as required.

  • Leave at least 4 hours between doses.

  • Do not take more than 3 caplets in any 24-hour period.

Children and adolescents aged 12–18 years:

If this medicine is needed for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen, consult a doctor.

Adults: Do not take for longer than 10 days unless advised by your doctor. If symptoms persist, pain worsens, or new symptoms develop, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

Other Ingredients: Povidone,Sodium Starch Glycollate Type A,Magnesium Stearate,Hypromellose,Talc,Opaspray White M-1-7111B (contains Hypromellose and Titanium Dioxide (E171) and Black Printing Ink (contains shellac,Iron oxide black (E172) and propylene glycol)

Warnings

Stop taking this medicine and seek immediate medical attention if you experience difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or neck, chest pain, or signs of a serious allergic reaction.

Do not take Nurofen Migraine Pain if you:

  • Are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, other NSAIDs, or any of the ingredients.

  • Have or have previously had stomach ulcers, perforation, or gastrointestinal bleeding.

  • Have experienced asthma, skin reactions, a runny or itchy nose, or facial swelling after taking ibuprofen, aspirin, or similar medicines.

  • Have had gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation caused by NSAID medicines.

  • Are taking other NSAID painkillers or more than 75 mg of aspirin per day.

  • Have severe liver or kidney problems, heart problems, high blood pressure, or a blood-clotting disorder.

  • Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.

  • Are under 12 years of age.

Check with Your Doctor or Pharmacist Before Use

  • Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you:

  • Have or have had asthma.

  • Have kidney, heart, liver, or bowel problems.

  • Have high cholesterol or a history of heart attack or stroke.

  • Have had conditions such as stomach ulcers, ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's disease.

  • Have systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

  • Smoke.

  • If you are pregnant (first six months) or breastfeeding or planning to have a baby.

  • Have an infection, as ibuprofen may mask symptoms such as fever and pain.

  • If your infection symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice promptly.

Serious skin reactions have been reported with ibuprofen. Stop taking this medicine and seek medical attention immediately if you develop a severe skin rash, blistering, peeling skin, or other signs of a serious skin reaction.

Do not take this product with other NSAID-containing medicines, such as ibuprofen or aspirin, unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Ibuprofen can interact with other medicines, including:

  • Corticosteroids

  • Certain antibiotics, including quinolones

  • Blood-thinning medicines and anticoagulants

  • Heart medicines

  • Medicines for high blood pressure

  • Diuretics

  • Methotrexate, ciclosporin, or tacrolimus

  • Lithium or SSRIs

  • Mifepristone

  • Zidovudine

Always tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are taking before using this product.

Ibuprofen may temporarily affect female fertility. This effect is reversible after stopping treatment.

NSAID painkillers may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke, particularly at high doses or with prolonged use. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration.

Speak to your doctor before use if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, a history of stroke, or other cardiovascular risk factors.

Dehydrated children and adolescents may be at increased risk of kidney problems.

Taking higher doses or using this medicine for longer than recommended can increase the risk of serious stomach, intestinal, kidney, and other health problems.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.

Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
