Zirtek Allergy Relief is a fast-acting antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of hay fever and other allergies. It helps reduce sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy/watery eyes, and skin irritation caused by allergens.

Designed to provide 24-hour relief with a single daily dose, Zirtek helps you stay comfortable and focused throughout the day, whether indoors or outdoors during allergy season.

Dosage

Children aged 6 to 12 years: 5ml (one full measuring spoon) twice a day.
Adults and children over 12 years: take 10 ml (two full measuring spoons) daily.
Not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

Ingredients

Active Ingredient: cetirizine dihydrochloride.

Other Ingredients: sorbitol (E 420), glycerol, propylene glycol, saccharin sodium, methylparahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propylparahydroxybenzoate (E216), banana flavour 54.330/A (Firmenich), sodium acetate, glacial acetic acid and purified water.

Warnings

Do not take if:

Have end-stage kidney disease (severe renal failure requiring dialysis)
Are allergic to cetirizine dihydrochloride, hydroxyzine, piperazine derivatives, or any of the other ingredients

Warnings and precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you:

Have kidney problems (dose adjustment may be needed)
Have difficulty passing urine (e.g. due to spinal cord, prostate, or bladder problems)
Have epilepsy or are at risk of convulsions

Alcohol

No significant interaction at normal doses
However, avoid alcohol while taking this medicine, especially higher doses, as safety data is limited

Allergy testing

Stop taking this medicine several days before allergy tests if advised by your doctor, as it may affect results

Other medicines

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are taking or have recently taken

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Should be avoided during pregnancy unless advised by a doctor
Not recommended during breastfeeding unless medically necessary (cetirizine passes into breast milk)
