Ultra Chloraseptic Anaesthetic Throat Spray
Ultra Chloraseptic Anaesthetic Throat Spray soothes sore throat pain quickly. This fast-acting throat spray contains benzocaine, a local anaesthetic that works by gently numbing the area to help relieve the pain and discomfort of a sore throat. The convenient spray format makes it easy to deliver the anaesthetic directly to the back of the throat, right where relief is needed. Its practical swivel-head applicator helps make targeted application simple and convenient.
Available in a range of flavours to suit your preference, including original menthol, with a refreshing minty taste; blackcurrant, offering a sweet and fruity flavour; cherry, with a delicious cherry taste; and honey & lemon, combining the classic flavours of soothing honey and zesty lemon.
How To Use
Adults & Teenagers
Spray 3 times towards the back of your throat.
Repeat every 2–3 hours if needed.
Maximum 8 times in 24 hours.
Do not use for more than 3 days.
Children aged 6–12
Must be used with adult supervision.
The child must be able to hold their breath while spraying.
Spray once towards the back of the throat.
Repeat every 2–3 hours if needed.
How to spray
Turn the spray nozzle out from the bottle.
For a new bottle, or one unused since your last sore throat, spray 3 times into a sink away from your face to activate the pump.
Open your mouth slightly and put the nozzle just inside your mouth, pointing towards the back of your throat.
Hold your breath and press the pump.
Avoid spraying into your eyes.
Maximum 8 times in 24 hours.
Do not use for more than 3 days.
Temporary numbness in your throat is normal.
Do not eat or drink while your throat is numb, as you could accidentally choke or burn yourself.
If it doesn't improve after 3 days, speak to a pharmacist or doctor.
If you use too much and become drowsy, contact a doctor immediately.
Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Benzocaine 0.71% w/v (1mg per spray)
Other Ingredients: ethanol, macrogol 300, propylene glycol, glycerol, cetylpyridinium chloride, saccharin sodium, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide, purified water.
Menthol: flavourings, levomenthol
Cherry: flavourings, cherry, cream, and levomenthol
Blackcurrant: flavourings, levomenthol and blackcurrant
Honey & Lemon: flavourings, levomenthol, honey, and lemon
Warnings
Do not use the spray if:
You have difficulty breathing, noisy breathing, or severe difficulty swallowing, speak to a pharmacist or doctor instead.
You are allergic to benzocaine or any other ingredient.
You have a rare blood condition called methaemoglobinaemia.
You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
The person using it is under 6 years old
Storage
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.
Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
