Robitussin Dry Cough provides effective relief from persistent, dry and irritating coughs. It contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a cough suppressant that works on the cough reflex in the brain to help reduce the frequency and intensity of coughing. Dextromethorphan helps calm the urge to cough, providing relief from a dry, tickly cough and helping you feel more comfortable throughout the day.

Dosage
Adults, elderly people and children over 12 years: Take 10 ml up to four times a day, as required.
Use the measuring cup provided with the medicine.
Do not exceed the recommended dose
Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Each 5ml of liquid contains Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 7.5 mg.
Other Ingrdients: Glycerol, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium Edetate, Maltitol (E965), Ethanol, Citric Acid Anhydrous, Amaranth (E123), Caramel (E150), Levomenthol, Cherry/Grenadine Flavour, Sorbitol Solution 70%, Sodium Cyclamate, Acesulfame Potassium Salt, Purified Water.
Warnings
Do NOT take this medicine if you:
Are allergic to dextromethorphan or any other ingredient in the medicine.
Have a chest infection, worsening asthma, or serious breathing problems.
Are taking, or have taken in the last 14 days, certain medicines for depression, psychiatric conditions or Parkinson's disease, including MAOIs and SSRIs.
Are taking another cough or cold medicine.
Are dependent on alcohol or opioids, or have previously experienced withdrawal symptoms after stopping alcohol or drugs.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you:
Have had a long-term cough or asthma, especially severe asthma attacks.
Have a cough with a fever, rash, or ongoing headache.
Have liver or severe kidney problems.
Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Have previously experienced withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, shaking, sweating, agitation or restlessness after stopping alcohol or drugs.
Take medicines such as quinidine, amiodarone, terbinafine, cinacalcet, methadone, or certain antidepressants or antipsychotics. These medicines may interact with Robitussin Dry Cough and cause serious side effects.
May cause drowsiness or dizziness
This medicine can make you sleepy or dizzy.
Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how the medicine affects you.
Using this medicine regularly or for a long time can lead to addiction.
Only use it as directed on the leaflet.
Stopping after regular use may cause withdrawal symptoms, including:
Restlessness or difficulty sleeping
Irritability, anxiety or agitation
Fast heartbeat or increased blood pressure
Nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea
Loss of appetite
Shaking or shivering
Sweating
If you experience these symptoms, speak to your doctor.
Do not drink alcohol, including wine, beer or spirits, while taking this medicine.
This medicine contains:
Amaranth (E123): May cause allergic reactions.
Sorbitol and maltitol: These are sources of fructose. Speak to your doctor before use if you have hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI) or an intolerance to certain sugars. Sorbitol may also cause stomach discomfort or a mild laxative effect.
Alcohol (ethanol): Each 10 ml dose contains 219.3 mg of alcohol. Speak to your doctor if you are dependent on alcohol, pregnant, breastfeeding, or have liver disease or epilepsy.
Sodium benzoate: Each 10 ml dose contains 12 mg. It may increase jaundice in newborn babies.
Sodium: Each 10 ml dose contains less than 23 mg, so it is considered essentially sodium-free.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.
Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
