Otrivine Child Nasal Drops
Otrivine Children Nasal Drops are designed to provide relief from a blocked or stuffy nose in children. They help reduce swelling inside the nasal passages, making it easier for your child to breathe more comfortably. They can be useful when nasal congestion is caused by colds or similar conditions.

How To Use
Children aged 6 - 12 years: 1 or 2 drops of solution in each nostril once or twice daily.
Not more than 2 doses should be given in any 24 hours.
Not to be used for more than 5 days without the advice of a doctor. Parents or carers should seek medical attention if the child's condition worsens.
Not to be used in children under 6 years of age
Ingredients
Active ingredient: Xylometazoline Hydrochloride (0.05% w/v).
Other Ingrdients: Sodium Chloride, Sodium Phosphate, Sodium Acid Phosphate, Disodium Edetate, Benzalkonium Chloride, Sorbitol, Hypromellose and Water.
Warnings
Do not use Otrivine Child Nasal Drops if your child:
Is under 6 years old.
Is allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients.
Has an inflamed or very dry nasal passage.
Is allergic to other nasal decongestants.
Has recently had brain or nasal surgery.
Has heart or circulation problems or high blood pressure.
Has diabetes or an overactive thyroid.
Has closed-angle glaucoma.
Has an enlarged prostate.
Has phaeochromocytoma, a rare tumour affecting the adrenal glands.
Is taking MAOI antidepressants, or has stopped taking them within the last 14 days.
Is taking beta-blockers.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if your child:
Takes tricyclic or tetracyclic antidepressants or any other medicines.
Is being treated by a doctor for another condition.
Avoid contact with the eyes
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if your child is taking or has recently taken any medicines, including medicines for depression, high blood pressure or heart problems, appetite suppressants, oxytocin or ergot medicines.
Otrivine contains benzalkonium chloride, which may cause irritation inside the nose.
Storage
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.
Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
