Otrivine Adult Nasal Drops
Otrivine Adult Nasal Drops provide fast, effective relief from a blocked or stuffy nose caused by colds, sinusitis, and similar nasal congestion. The drops contain xylometazoline hydrochloride, a decongestant that helps reduce swelling inside the nasal passages, making it easier to breathe through the nose.

How To Use
For Adults and Children over 12 years of age:
Clear your nose.
Lean your head back as far as is comfortable.
Apply 2 to 3 drops into each nostril up to 3 times daily.
Keep your head back for a short time after application.
Clean and dry the dropper before replacing it.
Do not exceed 3 applications daily into each nostril.
For reasons of hygiene, this pack should only be used by one person. Do not use this bottle for more than 28 days after opening it.
Do not use more than the recommended dose.
Do not use Otrivine for more than 7 consecutive days. Using it for longer may cause nasal congestion to come back or become worse.
If your symptoms get worse or do not improve after 7 days, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Xylometazoline hydrochloride (0.1w/v)
Other Ingredients: Sodium chloride, sodium phosphate, sodium acid phosphate, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, sorbitol, hypromellose and water.
Warnings
Do not use Otrivine if you:
Are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Are allergic to other nasal decongestants.
Have recently had brain or other neurosurgery.
Have narrow-angle glaucoma.
Have a condition causing very dry or damaged nasal passages, such as rhinitis sicca or atrophic rhinitis.
Have an enlarged prostate.
Have phaeochromocytoma, a rare tumour of the adrenal gland.
Take MAO inhibitor medicines (MAOIs), or have stopped taking them within the last 14 days.
Talk to your doctor before using Otrivine if you:
Have an overactive thyroid.
Have diabetes.
Have heart or circulation problems, including long QT syndrome, or high blood pressure.
Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Take tricyclic or tetracyclic antidepressants.
Otrivine contains benzalkonium chloride, which may cause irritation inside the nose.
Storage
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.
Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
