Covonia Chesty Cough
Covonia Chesty Cough is a soothing liquid cough medicine formulated to help relieve chesty, mucus-producing coughs. Its expectorant action helps loosen mucus and phlegm, making it easier to clear from the chest. It can provide relief when a cough is accompanied by excess mucus. The liquid format makes it easy to take and is ideal for use when you need targeted relief from a congested chest.
Dosage
Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: Take one or two 5ml spoonfuls every 4 hours if required.
Children aged 5-12 years: Take one 5ml spoonful every 4 hours if required.
Ingredients
Active ingredients: Levomenthol: 4 mg, Liquorice liquid extract: 0.125 ml, Squill Tincture: 0.6 ml
Other Ingredients: Peppermint oil, anise oil, capsicum tincture (capsicum oleoresin, ethanol), syrup (sucrose), liquid glucose, magnesium aluminium silicate, sodium methyl, ethyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoates (E215, E219), glycerol (E422), caramel (E150c), purified water.
Warnings
Do not use this medicine if you or your child:
Are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Have a heart condition.
Have breathing problems.
Have increased pressure in the head.
Have liver or kidney problems.
Have an alcohol-related condition.
Are under 5 years old.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you or your child are taking:
Carbenoxolone, used to treat stomach ulcers.
Diuretics (water tablets) or other medicines that help remove fluid from the body.
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Storage
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.
Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
