Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free is formulated to relieve chesty coughs and help loosen phlegm, making it easier to clear mucus from the airways. With a sugar-free liquid formula, it offers a convenient option for those who prefer to avoid sugar-containing medicines.

Dosage

Adults, the elderly and children 12 years and over: 15ml every six hours.

No more than 3 doses should be taken in any 24 hours.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: Guaifenesin 200mg.

Other Ingredients: water, glycerin (E422), sorbitol (E420), sodium cyclamate (E952), sodium saccharin (E954), carrageenan, potassium sorbate (E202), anise, blackcurrant and menthol, flavours [contains triacetin (E1518), propylene glycol (E1520)], colours ponceau 4R (E124) and caramel (E150).

Warnings

Do not take this medicine if you:

Are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Have porphyria, a rare blood disorder that can affect the skin or nervous system.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you:

Have an intolerance to certain sugars or have hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI). This medicine contains 3.1g of sorbitol (E420) per 15ml dose, which is a source of fructose.
Have been advised to avoid propylene glycol. Each 15ml dose contains 25.1mg.
Need to follow a low-sodium diet. This medicine contains less than 1mmol of sodium per 15ml dose, so it is considered essentially sodium-free.
Are allergic to certain food colours. It contains Ponceau 4R (E124), which may cause allergic reactions.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant.

Storage

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.

Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
