Beechams Powders provide effective relief from cold and flu symptoms, helping to ease sore throat pain, headaches, feverishness, aches and pains.

They can also be used to relieve mild to moderate pain, including migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat, period pain and rheumatic pain.

Beechams Powders offer convenient relief when you need it, helping you feel more comfortable while recovering from cold and flu symptoms or managing everyday aches and pains.

Dosage

For oral use only. Mix the contents of one powder with a small amount of water and stir well before drinking.

Adults, including the elderly, and children aged 16 years and over: Take one powder every 4–6 hours as needed.

Do not take more than 6 powders in 24 hours.

For migraine: Not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years of age.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Ingredients

Active ingredients: Aspirin 600 mg and caffeine 50 mg.

Other ingredients: Lactose monohydrate,maize starch, colloidal anhydrous silica,sodium lauryl sulphate, saccharin sodium, sodium cyclamate and spice flavour.

Warnings

Do not take Beechams Powders if:

  • You are allergic to aspirin, salicylates, caffeine, NSAIDs or any other ingredient.

  • You have had an allergic reaction, asthma or breathing problems after taking aspirin or ibuprofen.

  • You are allergic to peanuts or soya, as Beechams Powders contain soya protein.

  • You have high blood pressure or heart disease.

  • You have or have had a stomach ulcer, perforation or stomach bleeding.

  • You have a blood-clotting disorder, such as haemophilia, or have had gout.

  • You have liver or kidney disease.

  • You are under 16 years of age

  • Aspirin can cause stomach or other bleeding. Tell your doctor if you experience any unusual bleeding.

  • Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can increase the risk of bleeding.

  • Avoid excessive caffeine from coffee, tea and some soft drinks while taking Beechams Powders.

  • Do not take if you are dehydrated. Drink plenty of fluids.

  • This medicine contains lactose. If you have an intolerance to certain sugars, speak to your doctor before use.

  • The product contains less than 1 mmol sodium per sachet and is therefore considered essentially sodium-free.

  • Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Beechams Powders if you have asthma, allergies, nasal polyps, high blood pressure, or liver or kidney problems. Also tell them about any medicines you take, particularly blood thinners, other painkillers or NSAIDs, antidepressants, medicines for high blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, gout, cancer or rheumatoid arthritis, steroids, diuretics or antacids.

  • Do not take Beechams Powders during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor.

Storage

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.

Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
