Beechams All in One Tablets provide short-term relief from the symptoms of colds, chills and flu, particularly when accompanied by a chesty, productive cough.

They help relieve a range of symptoms, including headaches, shivers, aches and pains, blocked nose, painful sinuses, catarrh, sore throat and chesty coughs.

Beechams All in One contains three active ingredients:

  • Paracetamol is a painkiller that helps relieve headaches, aches and pains and reduce fever.

  • Guaifenesin is an expectorant that helps loosen phlegm and relieve a chesty cough.

  • Phenylephrine hydrochloride is a decongestant that helps unblock the nose and sinuses, making it easier to breathe.

Dosage

Adults and children aged 12 years and over:

  • Swallow 2 tablets every 4 hours as needed.

  • Do not take doses more frequently than every 4 hours.

  • Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.

  • Do not exceed the recommended dose.

  • Do not use for more than 5 days without consulting your doctor.

  • Do not give to children under 12 years.

Ingredients

Active ingredient: Paracetamol 250 mg, guaifenesin 100 mg and phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg.

Other ingredients: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, stearic acid, colloidal anhydrous silica, purified talc, povidone, potassium sorbate (E 202), hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), and polyethylene glycol.

Warnings

Do not take Beechams All in One Tablets if:

  • You are allergic to paracetamol, guaifenesin, phenylephrine or any other ingredient.

  • You have liver or kidney problems, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease.

  • You have glaucoma, phaeochromocytoma or an enlarged prostate.

  • You are taking beta blockers or certain antidepressants, including tricyclic antidepressants or MAOIs. Do not take if you have taken an MAOI within the last 2 weeks.

  • Contains paracetamol. Taking too much can cause serious liver damage.

  • Do not take with any other medicine containing paracetamol.

  • Do not take with other cold, flu, decongestant or cough medicines.

  • This medicine may cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery if affected.

  • Contains lactose. If you have an intolerance to certain sugars, speak to your doctor before taking this medicine.

Speak to your doctor before taking this medicine if you have:

  • Raynaud's phenomenon or other blood vessel problems.

  • Asthma or a chronic cough.

  • Heart or circulation problems.

  • Liver or kidney problems.

  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are taking, particularly medicines for nausea, migraine, high blood pressure, depression, heart conditions, high cholesterol or blood thinning medicines such as warfarin.

  • Tell your doctor if you are taking flucloxacillin, as there is a rare but serious risk of metabolic acidosis, particularly if you are seriously unwell, malnourished, have severe kidney problems or chronic alcoholism.

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Speak to your doctor before taking this medicine.

  • Always read the package leaflet before use and follow the recommended dosage.

Storage

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.

Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
