Absorbs excess oil, helps unblock pores
Releases glycerine to help soothe and hydrate the skin
Available in 2.5% and 5% strengths.
How To Use
Acnecide is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
For adults and children 12 years and over:
Cleanse your skin: Wash the affected area with a mild cleanser and water, then gently pat dry.
Apply the gel: Spread a thin layer over the affected areas once daily, avoiding the eyes, mouth, inside of the nose and neck.
Start once daily: Apply before bedtime when beginning treatment.
Adjust if tolerated: After 2–3 days, if your skin has little or no irritation, you may increase use to twice daily, morning and evening.
Use moisturiser: Applying a moisturiser can help reduce dryness and irritation.
Mild redness, peeling or a slight burning sensation may occur during the first few days.
If you experience severe irritation, stop using the gel and allow your skin to recover before restarting. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.
Avoid strong sunlight. If exposure is unavoidable, use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and UVA protection, and apply the gel in the evening.
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas.
Treatment duration depends on how your skin responds. If your acne worsens or does not improve within 12 weeks, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Seek advice if acne leaves new scars, as alternative treatment may be needed.
Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
