Nexium Control Tablets

Designed for adults who experience frequent heartburn, these easy-to-take tablets provide effective acid control to help you feel more comfortable throughout the day. Nexium Control is taken once daily and provides continuous 24-hour control of stomach acid, helping to manage recurring heartburn and acid reflux symptoms.
Dosage
Take one tablet a day.
Do not exceed this dose
Do not chew or crush the tablet.
May take 2-3 days for full effect.
If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after taking this medicine for 14 days in a row, contact your doctor.
Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Esomeprazole 20mg.
Other Ingredients: glycerol monostearate 40-55, hydroxypropylcellulose, hypromellose, reddish-brown iron oxide (E 172), yellow iron oxide (E 172), magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid ethylacrylate copolymer 1:1 dispersion 30 per cent, cellulose microcrystalline, synthetic paraffin, macrogol 6000, polysorbate 80, crospovidone (Type A), sodium stearyl fumarate, sugar spheres (sucrose and maize starch), talc, titanium dioxide (E 171) and triethyl citrate.
Warnings
Do NOT take:
You are allergic to esomeprazole or similar acid-reducing medicines such as omeprazole or pantoprazole.
You take nelfinavir or oral rilpivirine for HIV.
You previously had a serious skin reaction (severe rash, peeling, blisters or mouth sores) from this type of medicine.
You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Talk to a doctor before taking it if:
You have had a stomach ulcer or stomach surgery.
You have had ongoing heartburn/reflux treatment for 4+ weeks.
You have serious liver or kidney problems.
You are over 55 and have new or changing reflux symptoms, or need heartburn medicine every day.
You previously had a skin reaction to an acid-reducing medicine.
You are going to have an endoscopy, urea breath test, or Chromogranin A blood test.
You frequently wheeze, especially alongside heartburn.
Get medical advice urgently if you have:
Unexplained weight loss.
Difficulty or pain when swallowing.
Persistent stomach pain, nausea, bloating or feeling unusually full.
Vomiting blood or material that looks like coffee grounds.
Black/bloody stools.
Severe or persistent diarrhoea.
A new rash, especially after being in the sun.
Chest pain with sweating, dizziness/light-headedness, shoulder pain or shortness of breath — seek urgent medical attention.
Do not combine Nexium Control with:
Other proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs), such as omeprazole, pantoprazole, lansoprazole or rabeprazole.
H2 blockers such as famotidine.
Nelfinavir or oral rilpivirine.
Tell your doctor/pharmacist if you take medicines such as clopidogrel, warfarin, phenytoin, diazepam, methotrexate, digoxin, tacrolimus, levothyroxine, certain HIV medicines, antifungals, rifampicin or St John's wort.
Not suitable for anyone under 18 years.
Storage
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.
Store below 25ºC. Protect from sunlight.
