Optrex Hayfever Relief Eye Drops is an easy to use product for the treatment of hayfever relieving symptoms such as redness, watering, soreness and itching. It contains an anti-allergy ingredient called sodium cromoglicate, which prevents the release of histamine unto your eyes.

Histamine is a substance which the body produces to try and get rid of the allergens when pollen enters your system. It triggers allergic reactions and causes symptoms such as:
  • Watery, red eyes
  • A blocked or runny nose
  • Itchy eyes, ears, nose, and throat
  • Sneezing
  • Coughing
  • Itchy skin rash

How to use

Adults and children over 6 years:
Gently squeeze 1 or 2 drops into each eye, 4 times daily.

Side effects & Cautions

Like all medications, Optrex Hayfever Eye Drops can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These side effects include:
  • Worsening of your current allergy symptoms, e.g. itching, redness, or swelling
  • Stinging, burning, or blurry eyes after using the drops. This will usually pass after a short time
  • Mild eye irritation
  • If you experience these or any other side effects while using this product, speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. If your symptoms are severe, seek immediate medical assistance

Ingredients

1 ml of eye drops contains 20 mg of Sodium Cromoglicate (2.0% w/v).

Other Ingredients: Benzalkonium Chloride, Disodium Edetate, Water for Injections.
