Fybogel Original Sachets works naturally with your body to treat constapation without undue straining, discomfort or unnatural urgency, by incresing your fibre intake. A lack of fibre in the diet is one of the main causes of bowel irregularity, Fybogel helps you to restore and maintain regularity.

Fybogel Original can be used whenever increased fibre is needed in your diet to help relieve constipation - this includes constipation during pregnancy. It can also be used to help maintain a normal bowel function among those suffering from haemorrhoids (piles).

How to use

Fill a glass with approximately 150ml of cold water. Pour in the required amount (see dosage below). Stir well and drink straight away, preferably after meals.
Adults & children over 12:
One sachet of Fybogel Lemon in the morning, and one in the evening, or as prescribed by your doctor.
Children 6-12:
Half - 1 level 5ml spoonful, morning and evening, depending on age and size. If there has been no movement after three days of treatment the doctor should be consulted.
Children under 6:
To be taken only on medical advice, half - 1 level 5ml spoonful, depending on age and size, morning and evening.

Do not take Fybogel Original without water. If you accidentally take too much, drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Do not take more Fybogel Lemon than directed.

Store below 30°C in a dry place.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack. 
Always read all product packaging and labels prior to use.

Side effects & Cautions

Do NOT use if:
  • Allergic to any of the listed ingredients.
  • Under the age of 6 years old.
  • Should not be used after expiry date.
  • Do not exceed the daily dose.
  • You suffer from Phenylketonuria.
  • Your doctor has told you that you are suffering from a blockage of the bowel (intestinal obstruction or faecal impaction) or muscle weakness of the bowel wall (colonic atony).

Do not take without water. 

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your local GP or doctor before using.

High fibre products may interact with other medicines by altering their absorption. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if taking other medicines.

If the treatment has not improved symptoms in a course of 7 days please contact your doctor for further advice.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Ingredients

Each single dose sachet contain 3.5 g Ispaghula Husk.

Other ingredients are:  Aspartame E951 (sweetener), Saccharin Sodium (sweeteners), Potassium Hydrogen Carbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Polysorbate 80, Silica Colloidal Anhydrous, Citric Acid, Beta-Carotene (E160a), Riboflavin Sodium Phosphate Colouring.
