Fybogel Hi-Fibre Orange is a laxative that harnesses the power of fibre to gently relieve constipation and works naturally with your body,usually within 24-47 hours. Each single dose sachet contains 3.5g of ispaghula husk and is an easy and convinient way to increase fibre in your diet, helping the digestive system work more efficiently by gently relieving constipation the natural way.

Fybogel Hi-Fibre Orange drink can be used whenever increased fibre is needed in your diet to help relieve constipation - this includes constipation during pregnancy. It can also be used to help maintain a normal bowel function among those suffering from haemorrhoids (piles).

How to use

Each Fybogel Hi-Fibre Orange drink sachet is to be mixed with 150ml (1/4pt) cold water.

Adults and children 12 years and over: One sachet in the morning and one sachet in the evening.

Children 6-12 years: take ½ a sachet to 1 level 5ml spoonful, morning and evening.

Side effects & Cautions

Like all medicines, Fybogel can cause side effects although not everyone will experience them. This product can cause allergic reactions with symptoms including:
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Wheezing
  • Coughing
  • Skin rash
  • Itching

Due to the increased fibre intake you may experience wind (flatulence) or bloating during the first few days of taking this product, which will lessen as you continue to take it.

If laxatives are required daily or if you have persistent abdominal pain or change of bowel habits consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy or if symptoms persist. 

Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, or suffer from allergies.

Ingredients

Each single dose sachet contain 3.5 g Ispaghula Husk.

Other ingredients are: Potassium Bicarbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Riboflavine Sodium Phosphate, Beta-carotene, Aspartame (E951), Orange Flavour, Saccharin Sodium, Polysorbate 80 and Silica Colloidal Anhydrous.
