Vicks First Defence neutralizes the viruses which cause cold and flu symptom and acts directly in the nose where the viruses develop, when used at first signs of a cold. Its microgel traps and neutralizes the cold viruses helping to prevent them from developing and spreading, reducing the severity and duration.

How to use

  • Before using this product, gently blow your nose one nostril at a time.
  • Prime the spray by briefly pressing the nozzle.
  • Insert the nozzle into one nostril.
  • Incline the nozzle and apply 2 – 3 sprays per nostril without inhaling.
  • Repeat in other nostril.
  • Clean the nozzle after application with soapy water, rinse and dry.
  • Repeat up to 4 times per day and, for best results, continue to use for 2 days after the symptoms subside.

Side effects & Cautions

Whilst using Vicks First Defence you may experience nasal discharge (runny nose) or a temporary stinging sensation, which are normal signs that the product is working. Like other nasal sprays it can irritate the lining of the nose, which may result in nose bleeding. This is rare, usually minor and of short duration, but if it occurs, discontinue use. If nose bleed is persistent or heavy, consult your doctor as soon as possible.

It is recommended that pregnant and breast feeding women consult with their healthcare professional before use.

Do not use this container for more than one person it may spread infection.
Not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
